ACCESSIBLE BATTERY BOX

An easy-to-reach battery box with an available auxiliary jump-start stud is located right below the driver side of the cab.

FORWARD-TILTING ENGINE COVER AND WHEEL CUT DESIGN

A wheel cut of up to 50 degrees allows easy maneuvering around tight jobsites. It also makes servicing easy when combined with the forward-tilting engine cover.

DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID (DEF) FILL

The DEF fill is smartly positioned on the right fender behind the front wheel for easy fluid refills.

Power That's Nonnegotiable

There are some things you never compromise on. Which is why every Silverado Chassis Cab delivers with a Duramax® 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine paired with an Allison® transmission. An available Allison PTS transmission supports shuttle bus and nonconforming school bus applications, and a locking rear axle provides added stability and improves off-road response.

Built Around You

Silverado Chassis Cabs were designed with the driver in mind. That starts with a downward-sloping hood that provides excellent visibility, while tuned shocks and cab mounts offer increased ride comfort. Inside the comfortable cabin, up to 13 available auxiliary switches are within easy reach and triple-sealed doors help keep out the noise, letting the driver focus on the task at hand. Standard frontal and seat-mounted side-impact airbags help protect the driver and front outboard passenger, and head-curtain airbags are located at outboard seating positions.

Silverado Chassis Cabs are built with a robust single-piece frame rail for enhanced durability. They feature a wide range of cab-to-axle offerings for a variety of upfits† and a clean top-of-rail design to make upfitting easy. They come with a painted chassis that helps protect against corrosion, and a factory rear air suspension is available.
